The Roof, or CAM 9, is a location in Discovery Island. This area serves as the access point to the building's vent system, which is offscreen.
Appearance
Gen 1
Much of the camera view is taken up by the large vent shafts and the entrance to them. Aside from that, there are several large wooden boards, as well as several wires present on the rooftop. Being the only area in the game outside, it is dimly lit by the moonlit sky.
Gen 2
There are only minor changes to the roof. For example, the vents face right same direction, there’s a busted vent door on the roof along with some other small debris, there’s a smaller vent to the left of the roof, a flashlight illuminates the roof, and in the background you can see power lines.
Inhabitants
The Roof serves as the starting location for The Face, as he enters the vents as a means of reaching the Office. Hourglass can also appear on the Roof when he is active on Night 6.
