The Pills are a major mechanic in Nightmare Before Disney 2015 and Nightmare Before Disney 2016, alongside the Heart Rate Monitor, Blinking and Ink-Blot Ortensia's Color Combination.

The Pills are shown in a teaser for Nightmare Before Disney 2015, it is unknown how they would've functioned.
Nightmare Before Disney 2016[]
The Pills are used to keep your Heart rate under 100, but if the player is unable to keep track of this, he will be killed by Ink-Blot Ortensia. After using one they take some time to recharge to prevent the player from spamming them.
