Description[]

The Camera Monitor is a major survival mechanic in Treasure Island, Oblitus Casa and Treasure Island: Abandoned Enigma. This mechanic is one of several primary methods of driving off characters that show up in the Office.

Gameplay[]

Treasure Island[]

TBA

Oblitus Casa[]

The Camera Monitor can be opened by hovering the mouse over the cameras button. With that, the player can look around the Cabin. You have 9 cameras with two buttons available on each one, located on the top right of the screen. The first is a music box, with enough juice to last a total of 35 seconds if you were to play it non-stop. Use it wisely to lure the other toons in other rooms to other rooms that are close to them (the music box is not effective if you use it 2 or more rooms away from where the toons are), because if you waste a music box in any camera, you can't use it again for the rest of the night. (In 1.0.0/1.0.1 you can waste a music box with a recharge within a full usage for 4.20 seconds that can lure the toons 2 or more rooms far away from where they are, except for MickMick). Willie, Dippy and MickMick will be attracted by the music box in a different room's camera. The second tool is a camera flash button, just below the music box, use it to flash certain toons once you are looking at the camera they are on. Daisy, Photo-Negative Minnie, MickMick and MOTHER will go away after you use the camera flash, and while it has a cooldown, it never runs out. Mortimer is the only one character that is slowed down by staring at him in the cameras he's on, since the player cannot deal him with the music box or the camera flash.

In Post-Mortem, after you die by other toons except The Corruptus, MickMick, The Forgotten One and Inkblot Face, the Camera Monitor can be opened by hovering the mouse over the cameras button. With that, the player can look around the Post-Mortem limbo. There are 10 cameras through which you need to find the required amount of Mickey heads, except for CAM 9, the starting location of Shade Sadie which she'll try to escape if you don't find the heads quickly. Shade Minnie makes you flip down the monitor if she appears randomly in the cameras you're looking at, appearing in your Office afterwards, meaning that you must pull up the cameras fast to avoid her, and as for Shade Donald, you must be on the lookout for his fake Mickey heads in any camera, distinguishable by the phasing image of his own head over Mickey's, change the camera or pull down the camera to make his fake head disappear.

There are also three custom night-exclusive characters and an Easter Egg character that are dealt by using the camera monitor, adding a mechanic for some of them, where in Custom Night you can shut off a camera by pressing SPACE, taking some time for the camera to turn back on. Photo-Negative Mickey and Oswald will be drawn off after shutting off a camera. The Forgotten One will be driven away if the player flips up the camera monitor, The Corruptus will be worn off if the player switches to another camera or flips down the camera monitor.

Treasure Island: Abandoned Enigma[]

TBA

Five Nights at Treasure Island[]

The Camera Monitor can be opened by hovering the mouse over to the camera monitor button or pressing TAB. With this, the player can look around the building of Discovery Island. However, power drains faster when the player is on the camera monitor. By pressing SPACE, the player can shut off a camera. It will take some time for the camera to turn back on, though. Photo-Negative Mickey, Disembodied, Oswald, Impurity, Classic Photo-Negative Mickey, and Mortimer will be drawn off after shutting off a camera. Hourglass also can be driven off by shutting off a camera if it spawns or resets in the Mascot Prep or the Storage Area.

However, there are three custom night-exclusive characters and an Easter Egg character that aren't effected by shutting off a camera, but their mechanic involves using the monitor. Classic The Face and The Forgotten One will be worn off if the player flips up the monitor, Willy will be worn off if the player shuts off a camera, switches to another camera, or flips down the monitor, and Pete will be worn off with a loud beeping noise if the player switches to the camera he is in, which is marked with a red indicator. It is a rare occurrence if Pete appears on the camera the player is looking at.

Classic[]

In Classic Mode, the Camera Monitor works in a similar manner to the official game. Once again, the player can shut off a camera by pressing SPACE. Classic Photo-Negative Mickey, Classic Oswald, Classic Disembodied, Classic Acephalous, and Classic Photo-Negative Minnie will be drawn off after shutting off a camera. The camera will turn back on after a while.

Classic The Face isn't affected by shutting off a camera, but will be worn off if the player flips up the monitor.
